Pen licences have become an important goal to work towards for pupils at Upton Junior School. Through submitting their book to the 'Handwriting board', pupils wait patiently to see if they can 'graduate' from writing in pencil. Pupils are able to work toward being awarded with a number of different pen styles based on consistent achievement. If a pupil wants to 'upgrade' to the next stage, they MUST maintain the standards of the licence they are on PLUS the criteria for the next licence. Pupils MUST continue to maintain their achieved standard to avoid being moved back. Pupils who successfully achieve their pen licence will have it presented to them during an Achievement assembly. From that point on, the sky's the limit!
Please see the documents below for the criteria for each stage licence.
