Upton Junior School has a fantastic team of volunteers who work extremely hard throughout the year to raise funds for our school. The P.S.F.A. is wholly responsible for organising a wide range of school events such as the summer & Christmas Fayres, sports day refreshments, school discos etc.
We are very fortunate to have such an active, supportive PSFA. The events organised by the PSFA are exciting occasions in the school calendar and bring a real sense of spirit and fun to the school. Through these special events, vital funds are raised which benefit all the children. In particular, the PSFA work closely with the School Council to discuss ways in which the school can be improved for the children. Joining the PSFA is an excellent way to support our school.
All parents are automatically members of the Parents, Staff and Friends Association, which exists to help parents become actively involved in the life of the school. The Association is properly structured with a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and so on. If you wish to be an active participant in the PSFA, please contact the school and we will introduce you to the Chairperson. The PSFA is a very busy group of people – the saying is ‘If you want something doing, ask a busy person to do it!’ Your support will make a real difference and be very much appreciated.
We have recently sent a request to all parents/carers and relatives of our school children to see if we can drum up more support for our fundraising group. Currently we are a fairly small group and would love to invite some new members to join us, particularly Year 3 parents. Please Please Please can you help in any small way?
Come and join the team and have some fun!!
If you can help please contact Lisa Francis, or pop into the school office and leave your contact details.
Many thanks and we look forward to welcoming some new faces to the P.S.F.A.
