The circus and space came to Upton Junior school last week.
Alan started by teaching the Year 4’s to juggle with coloured scarves, then with bean bags. They experimented with long gymnastic ribbons, feathers, spinning plates and even tried some very high stilts. The Years 4’s agree that none of these skills are as easy as they look and they would love another try. As a finale, Alan asked for an assistant and Mrs Hallam was brave enough to volunteer. Alan asked his lovely assistant to lay on the floor as he juggled knives right above her, I was told there was an extremely tense moment where Alan very nearly dropped a knife onto Mrs Hallam but thankfully he caught it just in time, phew.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
